What is the Life Cycle Of A
Butterfly?
By: Carl
In September, we studied the life cycle of a Butterfly.
First the Butterfly lays an egg. The egg hatches into a
caterpillar. The caterpillar eats and eats. When the
caterpillar is stuffed it makes a shell called a chrysalis.
The caterpillar stays in the chrysalis for about one month.
After one month the caterpillar hatches out of the chrysalis
and forms a beautiful butterfly. The butterfly lays some
eggs and the whole process starts over again. We studied
eggs too. We did an egg puzzle. We learned that not only
chickens lay eggs, alligators, crocodiles, birds,
butterflies and other animals and insects lay eggs too.
